About Bartlesville
Just across the county line, Bartlesville packs a remarkable amount of cultural and architectural significance into a city of 35,000. It's where Frank Lloyd Wright built his only skyscraper, where Frank Phillips created one of America's great private museum collections, and where Phillips Petroleum was born. A half-day here easily becomes a full day.

Price Tower is one of the most significant works of American architecture — an 18-story structure Frank Lloyd Wright called 'the tree that escaped the crowded forest.' Originally designed as a mixed-use tower and now a boutique hotel and arts center, it's a bucket-list stop for anyone who cares about design.

Frank Phillips built his 3,600-acre ranch retreat in the Osage Hills and filled it with one of the finest collections of Western American art anywhere — Remington, Russell, and hundreds of others. The wildlife preserve still roams with bison, longhorn, and elk. Woolaroc is part art museum, part ranch, part time machine.

Bartlesville is where the American oil industry found its footing. The Frank Phillips Home, now a State Historic Site, and the Phillips Petroleum Museum trace the story of a company that shaped twentieth-century America — and whose roots ran deep into Osage County oil country.
