Chief Fred Lookout Memorial
The Chief Fred Lookout Memorial is located about three miles north and east of Pawhuska on Okesa Road. You will drive up a small hill and be rewarded with amazing 360 degree views of Osage County. The Lookout Memorial is the final resting place for Chief Fred Lookout and his wife Julia Mogre Lookout. He was the last chief who inherited his title by blood, and the Osages honor him as a benevolent leader. This is a must because you won’t believe how far you can see from atop this seemingly small hill.
