Open the first and third Saturdays, May through September.  Noon to 3 PM

The Missouri-Kansas-Texas (MKT) Train Depot in Hominy is a hidden treasure!  The Train Museum in the Depot will be open for visitors.  Come see all the miniature model trains in action, read about the history of Hominy and many of its heroes, explore a real caboose and ride the rail inspection cart up and down the track!  Directly behind the Depot is the Summit Utilities Depot Village.  The Depot Village consists of replicas of buildings in Hominy on the National Historic Register.  Each replica provides Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities for young children where they can learn about historic sites and perform fun activities that stimulate the mind.

The Field Printing Museum was started in 1993 by Morris Field. As a former newspaper owner and Linotype operator, Morris collected letterpress printing equipment that was the dominant technology for Oklahoma weekly newspapers from the late 1800s thru the 1980’s. The Museum has all the equipment to produce a weekly newspaper with letterpress technology. All the equipment could be turned on and used today.  Ever seen a 1928 Model A Ford up close? The Field Printing Museum has one on display. It was owned by the Field family and has a tragic history. See it and learn its role in Hominy history.
