2018 IS BIGGER & BETTER! This year will kick off 10/29 -10/31 with the roughstock clinic. 11/01 will be Horsemanship & Colt Breaking. 11/02- 11/04 will Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping & Breakaway. Kids Rodeo Camp will also be going on 11/02-11/04/2018. We will be running three arenas during the day. More details about each event below-- EACH DAY WILL KICK OFF AT 8AM WITH THE CLINIC AND END AROUND 6PM. FREE DINNER & CONCERT EACH NIGHT. DETAILED DAILY SCHEDULE WILL BE POSTED OCTOBER 1ST.
REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS- PLEASE READ OVER ENTIRE DESCRIPTION FOR FULL DETAILS!!! DUE TO OVERWHELMING CALLS ALL INFORMATION WILL BE LISTED BELOW TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF PHONE CALLS. YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER FOR EACH EVENT YOU WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN. ONE PERSON CAN ENTER FOR YOUR ENTIRE GROUP AS LONG AS YOUR ENTIRE GROUP IS ACCOUNTED FOR IN THE TOTAL HEAD COUNT. INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED. TICKETS WILL BE ISSUED IN THE REGISTER'S NAME ALONG WITH HOW MANY TICKETS YOU REGISTERED FOR. EVERYONE IN YOUR GROUP MUST HAVE A TICKET TO GET INTO THE GATE. THERE IS SPECATOR TICKETS FOR ALL PARENTS & GRANDPARENTS ATTENDING EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE CLINIC. PLEASE REGISTER UNDER A SPECTATOR IF YOU ARE COMING IN FOR THE NIGHTLY CONCERTS. HORSES ARE NOT REQUIRED IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE CLINIC. ANYONE IS ABLE TO COME & AUDIT ANY OF THE EVENTS- JUST BE SURE YOU REGISTER UNDER SPECTATOR. SPECTATOR REGISTRATION IS BROKE DOWN INTO TWO DATES SO PLEASE REGISTER FOR BOTH IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING ALL WEEK.
PLEASE NOTE- IF YOU WANT TO BE STALLED WITH SOMEONE THEN ONE PERSON MUST PAY FOR THE ENTIRE STALLS. WE WILL NOT BE GROUPING PEOPLE TOGETHER BY STALL REQUESTS. RVS CAN BE PURCHASED PER PERSON. WE WILL NOT BE ASSIGNING RV SPOTS. YOU CAN PICK YOUR SPOT WHEN YOU ARRIVE. ALL STALLS AND RVS NEED TO BE PAID IN ADVANCE SO THAT ACCOMODATIONS CAN BE MET. STALL CHART WILL BE POSTED ONE WEEK BEFORE THE CLINIC.
MOVE IN BEGINS ON OCTOBER 28TH AFTER 4PM. DETAILED DAILY SCHEDULE WILL BE POSTED 30 DAYS BEFORE CLINIC. EACH DAY THE CLINIC WILL START AT 8AM AND WILL END APPROX 6PM. NIGHTLY DINNERS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR FREE! ENJOY CONCERTS EACH EVENING THAT BEGIN AT 7PM! BE SURE AND RESERVE YOUR STALLS WHEN REGISTERING TO ENSURE A STALL & RV. STALLS WILL SELL OUT SO BE SURE AND NOT DELAY.
RV & STALLS REQUESTS ARE LISTED ON THE ENTRY FORM. ALL RV & STALLS MUST BE PAID BEFORE YOU WILL BE ADDED TO THE LIST. THESE WILL SELL OUT SO DO NOT DELAY. STALL CHARTS WILL BE POSTED 2 WEEKS BEFORE EVENT OPENS. ALL MONEY FOR STALLS & RV'S GO TO THE FACILITY AND ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON. PLEASE BE UNDERSTANDING SINCE THERE IS NO CHARGE TO ATTEND THIS CLINIC, EACH STALL WILL COME WITH ONE BAG OF SHAVING. ADDITIONAL SHAVING CAN BE PURCHASED ON SITE FOR $5.00 A BAG.
THERE IS A LIMITED AMOUNT OF HOTELS & BED AND BREAKFASTS IN PAWHUSKA SO IF YOU ARE NOT STAYING ON THE GROUNDS IT IS ADVISED TO RESERVE YOUR ROOMS IN ADVANCE. IF ALL ROOMS ARE SOLD OUT IN PAWHUSKA, THE CLOSEST TOWN IS BARTLESVILLE FOR A HOTEL. THERE WILL BE SHOWER TRAILERS ON THE GOUNDS FOR THE ENTIRE EVENT. THERE ARE ALSO PUBLIC BATHROOMS ON THE GROUNDS.
GENERATORS, PORTABLE PENS & TIE-OUTS ARE ALLOWED! TENTS ARE ALSO ALLOWED.
Kicks off October 29th at 8am. Each partcipate will need to check in sharply at 8am. If any participate is under 18 years old a parent or guardian MUST check in also with participate. No child under 18 years old will be allowed to participate without the parent or guardian on the grounds. All gear will be provided by Lyle Sankey Rodeo School if you do not have your own equipment at no charge. Clinic will be a full day and ends approx 6pm each night.
Age requirements to participate in Bullriding, Saddle Bronc, Bareback, Ranch Bronc & Bullfighting is 14 years old & up. Pick-up Man clinic age requirement is 17 years old & up. Horses are required for pick-up man clinic but spectators welcomed.
HORSEMANSHIP & COLT BREAKING CLINIC-
Clinic will begin Nov. 1st at 8am and will end approx 6pm. Horsemanship will be on horseback but audit is also allowed. Horsemanship clinic will be divided up between beginners, intermediate & advanced. We will be running three arenas during the day. Horses are NOT provided. Colt Breaking will be done by spectator only. No horses required for this part.
Age requirement for Horsemanship is 13 years old & up.
TEAM ROPING CLINIC-
Nov- 2-4th-Roping will begin at 8am with check-in and will finish around 6pm. Team Ropers will be divided up into groups by Headers & Heelers plus divided between skill levels. This will give more individual coaching per group. Roping clinic is rider and horse combined. If you do not have a horse, you still can participate in all the ground work exercises and spectate. We will be pulling Hot Heel dummies, there will be no live cattle. Horses are NOT provided.
Age requirement for Team Roping is 13 years old & up.
CALF ROPING & BREAKAWAY CLINIC-
Nov- 2-4th Calf & Breakaway schedule will be posted 30 days before clinic. This clinic is only 2 hours per day. You are able to participate in team roping or barrel racing along with calf roping & breakaway. Be sure and register all events you want to participate in.
Age requirement for Roping is 13 years old & up.
BARREL RACING CLINIC-
Nov- 2-4th Barrel Clinic will begin at 8:00am and end approx 6pm. Barrel Racing is a riding clinic. There will be 6 stations each barrel racing will rotate into. Every barrel racer will get to ride with the clinicians. Each morning at 8am we will meet in the arena without horses and clinicians will go over all drills before mounting up in order to save time once you get on your horse. Each afternoon you will be allowed to make runs and will be critiqued by professionals. Barrel racers must attend the entire day in order to do run critiques. This allows you to get one on one help during a run. Max allowed 3 runs PER horse to be critiqued. There will be a $10.00 charge per run in order to help pay for tractor & driver etc. Sign-ups will begin each morning at 7:15am and cut-off is at 8:30am. Payment is required when you sign up each morning. If anyone is not able to afford these fees please contact Shelly Weaver at 918-671-2835 for sponsorships. We do not want anyone to be left out so please let us know as we do not ever want money to be an issue where someone can't participate.
Age requirement for Barrel Clinic is 13 years old & up. Run Critique age limit is 7 years old & up.
KIDS RODEO CLINIC-
Events included in this clinic are as follows- Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Roping, Flags, Horsemanship & Goat Tying plus other fun things! Clinic will begin at 8:30 each morning and end at 4pm. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE CHECKED IN BY THE PARENT OR GAURDIAN AND SIGN CONSENT FORMS BEFORE THEY WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE. Check-In will begin at 7:45am to sign forms. Parents must make sure their kids horses are saddled & ready to go. No kids allowed in arena before 8:20am. Parent MUST stay on the grounds the entire time during clinic. Parents are allowed to participate in adult events but must not leave the grounds. Kids will be provided lunch & snacks. Horses Not Provided.
Age requirement is 7-12 years old.
NURSERY & KIDS ZONE-
Nursery Available for ages infants to 6 years old. Fun activites planned for these little ones to enjoy their time. Be sure and register for the Nursery if you have children in these age groups. Consent forms must be signed when you drop off your children. No children will be admitted without forms being signed. Nursery hours opens 7:45am. All children MUST be picked up by 5pm. Parent MUST stay on the grounds the entire time during clinic. Parents are allowed to participate in adult events but must not leave. Kids will be provided lunch & snacks. Horses NOT ALLOWED!
After the clinics wrap up for the day is when the real fun begins. Free dinner every evening with Nightly Concerts beginning at 7pm! Be sure and make plans to attend our Powerhouse Worship Services.
