Tulsa Botanic -- Blooms!

Tulsa Botanic -- Blooms! 3900 Tulsa Botanic Dr.Tulsa, OK 74127 Area: Tulsa Mar 15 - Apr 22: -
Enjoy intoxicating fragrances and a kaleidoscope of color as over 100,000 blossoms usher in spring at Tulsa Botanic Garden’s annual Tulsa Botanic Blooms! festival. The 2018 Tulsa Botanic Blooms! is presented by Osage Casinos.

As one of the largest flower bulb displays in the region, this celebration of spring includes over 80 different varieties of tulips as well as daffodils, hyacinths, crocus and more. Bloom times vary slightly each year depending on weather, but Garden staff incorporate early, mid- and late-flowering bulbs in the design for six to eight weeks of display.

The concentrated floral showcase is in the A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Floral Terraces where over 62,500 tulips have been planted in an Art Deco-inspired pattern (called Rays of Light), cascading from the top of this terraced garden to the bottom.

In addition to the Tandy Floral Terraces, approximately 14,000 bulbs are planted in the Children’s Discovery Garden, with more bulbs planted along the Garden’s Lakeside Promenade and in front of the visitor center and new Mabee Grange.

Tulsa Botanic Blooms also coincides with the opening of Lifting the Landscape, a sculpture exhibit at the Garden. by nationally renowned artist Christopher Curtis.
